I have been buying kindle ebooks from Amazon for over five yrs now using my Kindle. All you have to do is in your Amazon account, under settings you have to enter your name, address in the Philippines (billing info) and your credit card details (or paypal if you use one). Kindle Users in Asia Pacific can buy books from Amazon.com US.
Once you've completed all the details required in your account settings, log off. Turn you kindle wifi on and go to Kindle Storefront, this will then display all books available for purchase (in USD) click and buy the book you want to buy.
You can also buy books by using your amazon account (log on to your acct) and download the book to your laptop and transfer it to your Kindle using USB. Hope this helps.
