How To Install A New Monitor Drivers
Hi,I have received notifications from Toshiba that I need to update my TOSHIBA Display Utility (64 bit), TOSHIBA eco Utility (32/64 bit) and DTS Studio Sound to be compatible with Windows 10. For each of the three items, the notification also tells me to manuallyuninstall the existing component from my computer 'in order for this updated component to install.' I did manually uninstall the display utility components today, but as far as I can tell the updated one still wouldn't install, or at least I couldn't see it, and when I search for it, it says there isn’t one.
Now I'm getting the message again from Toshiba toupdate these two applications (the Display Utility message totally missing), eco Utility, and Studio Sound. How do I reinstall the Display Utility? I have looked and searched in Toshiba, but unable to find to reinstall. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.Sincerely,Janet PierceP.S. Now my computer keeps shutting down periodically. I'm in school and really need my computer.

We are glad to assist you.Thank you. I found Toshiba Windows 10 Upgrade site. Identify your pc model. That wasn't easy as it didn't recognise my SN or model number but I persisted looking and eventually worked it out.
You can just upload specific drivers rather than the whole lot so I pickedout the one I had earlier removed according to the instructions I got like you did- I only got to removing one then panicked when I realised it wasn't replaced with the new version! So I picked it out of the list and installed it. That was easy. But the instruction to manually remove the list of drivers they give you in the message is really stupid I think as it has upgraded the drivers without me having to do anything. Wasted my time!
I did the manual uninstall also of Toshiba Display Utility 64 bit, Toshiba eco Utility 32/64 bit, and mine said also to take out the Utility Support Driver; which I couldn't even find; but ended up installing the new one. But they are no where to be foundon the computer!!! I did the whole Windows update and it said everything was up to date; but it is clearly not. Those 3 drivers are gone now and the Toshiba website is no help at all.
It doesn;t even list my laptop, which is a very common C55. I don't knowwhat else to do. I came into the office to help my husbands assistant update this laptop and now she may end up having issues with it instead.Does anyone know how to get these things back into the computer for Windows 10; when everything is telling you that you are up to date; when clearly you are not.Thanks,kbcakita. This is a HORRIBLE system. I too am trying to get the Display Driver Update that Toshiba is recommending and it is no where to be found.

They want me to install v2.0.1.0C and it doesn't exist at their site!!!! This is so annoying! People have more to dowith their time than waste it trying to find an update that doesn't even exist on their site. Toshiba should take a hint from HP and have their updates be automatic; which is what I thought would happen using the Toshiba Service Station once I MANUALLY REMOVEDthe 3 I was told to take out and replace; but as another person has already stated; Once you go back to the Service Station, there are no updates for you to download!!!!!!!!! I've had it with Toshiba. If anyone figures out how to get this Display Driver Update that they are saying Windows 10 users need; the version I mentioned above; PLEASE POST INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL OF US:) I'm SURE we would all be thrilled to get this done!
This led me to the path on how to solve the problem.I followed your instructions but I discovered the new monitor wasn't available in Device Manager. Only the laptop's monitor was available which is a bit hard to tell because the monitor has a generic name in Windows, 'Generic PnP Monitor.' This LG monitorhas a very hidden 'on' button which is behind the monitor and in front of the base support post.
I found that, a second 'Generic PnP' monitor appeared in the Device Manager, and then after using the monitor's joy stick/on button control, I configured the HDMIport, and then the device configured itself and started working. The problem was me aka PEBKAC; but the monitor design to hide the 'on' button, and the poor LG instructions made it difficult. Maybe this on button location is normal now, but if this isn'tsomething you do often.Anyway, thanks!!!
